Suzhou embroidery workshop
(chinadaily.com.cn)Su Xiu, or Suzhou embroidery, is a style of Chinese embroidery found in the areas around Suzhou, Jiangsu province, and has a history of some 2,000 years. Requiring consummate craftsmanship, the embroidery is famous for its beautiful patterns, elegant colors, and variety of stitches. Suzhou embroidery is usually depicts nature and the environment, such as flowers, birds, animals and carefully sculpted gardens. Visitors to Zhouzhuang are able to watch as young artistsans of the craft embroider a range of items in the workshop located on the Zhenfeng Cultural Street.
