Zhouzhuang New Year's celebration

The town of Zhouzhuang, near the popular city of Suzhou, Jiangsu province, will be holding a number of events to celebrate the upcoming Spring Festival, on Feb 14, as follows:

Fireworks display and incense burning, on Feb 18.

'Beating the earthen ox' (Da Chun Niu), to pray for a good harvest in the coming year, on Feb 19.

Praying to the God of Wealth, on Feb 23.

Sacrifice to the Kitchen God and answering riddles written on lanterns (Dengmi ), on Mar 5.
