Dong Zuxiang is a local business starter from Yunnan's Pu'er city who opened a tea company in July of 2000.
Since then, he has put a big emphasis on ecology in the day-to-day running of his tea company.
"My tea garden is not only a green one but also an ecological one," said Dong.
His tea company provides services of planting management, tea product processing and tea product sales. In 2014, the total output value of the company reached 43.40 million yuan ($6.78 million), with the sales worth 41.40 million yuan.
The tea products from Dong's tea plant garden are all strictly organic. Each product has been certified by the country's Organic Tea Research and Development Center.
Dong said that his company has constructed a production line for green tea, black tea and Pu'er tea. It has also increased its sales channels by selling its products in stores directly and through authorized resellers.
