Yunnan attends biggest Asian tourism mart in Shanghai

Yunnan organized over 500 people from its travel departments and companies to attend the 2016 China International Travel Mart which opened in Shanghai on Nov 11.
The province broke records set since it began attending the mart in 1998 both in the number of people representing it and the size of its exhibition pavilion.

To strengthen its tourism trading function, the mart opened a 1,200 square meter discussion zone in its E6 pavilion.
About 660 tourism businesspeople from 48 countries and regions were invited to negotiate cooperative ventures.

The Yunnan pavilion integrated elements of blue sky, peacocks and green cirrus in its design and showcased tourism by videos, ethnic group dance performances and featured tourism product displays.

The China International Travel Mart, with an 18-year history, is the biggest tourism trading fair in Asia and a key international tourism spectacle.
