Italy's capital Rome is to hold an exhibition of some of its many treasures, several shown abroad for the first time, in the Yunnan Provincial Museum on Oct 27.
Visitors will appreciate over 230 ancient Rome cultural relics collected from nine top-level museums in Italy including the coliseum and the National Roman Museum.

The Yunnan Provincial Museum and experts from Italy have spent three years preparing for the exhibition. Every detail including the transportation, display design and construction were considered over and over again to ensure the exhibition fully spreads open the living scroll of the Roman Empire.
"Many of the cultural relics will make their first and probably last debut in a foreign country," said Angiola Rucci, the display coordinator from Italy.
She added that the display is the fourth time Italy has cooperated with Chinese museums in Shandong province, Tianjing and Chengdu.
