A large-scale dance of the Va ethnic group, one of the least known minorities in Yunnan province, started a new tour on Oct 19 in Hangzhou city, Zhejiang province.
The dance was inspired by Va ethnic myths and legends, farming festival rites and other local customs.

It unfolds a living scroll of the Va people and vividly depicts their awe for nature and the gods.
"The dance is very special and creative, and is bristled with great scenes," said Zhang Donghui, vice-chairman of the China Ethnic Minorities' Association for External Exchanges.
The dance has claimed many awards in Yunnan and has been performed in 11 cities across China since it was first staged in 2014.
