Karamay No 2 People's Hospital introduced a smartphone app on Jan 27, allowing patients to make appointments or trace medical reports faster and with more convenience.
The app, called "Juyihui", was developed by Ziye Internet Industry, and is used by more than 80 medical institutions around China, with Karamay No 2 People's Hospital being the first in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region to use it.
"Juyihui" works on both iOS and Android systems. After completing registration with either a patient or health insurance card, users can make appointments, register and queue for treatment, check their medical examination reports and check their bills using their smartphones.
The streamlined registration process also helps to alleviate pressure of hospital resources. "People can make an appointment at home, so there will be fewer people crowding in the waiting hall," said Liu Baogang, director of the hospital’s information department.
