Tianjin Port's auxiliary channels start official operation

Two auxiliary channels along each side of the two main channels in Tianjin Port was put into use officially after a year’s trial run on Dec 26, 2014.

It can handle 300,000-ton ships, and the world’s most advanced and largest container vessel, which can carry 19,000 TEUs.

It can also provide bidirectional four-lane waterway for ships with different sizes at the same time.
