Unilever, the world's leading icecream and daily-used chemicals supplier based in Britain, will begin in August to build a daily-used chemicals manufacturing base in North China's Tianjin municipality, according to the management committee of the city's airport economic zone.
Located inside the airport economic zone, the project is expected to start operation in 2012. It will mainly produce daily-used chemicals, toothpaste and foodstuffs.
Unilever will also launch in Tianjin a sales subsidiary targeting markets in northern China.
