Taishan intl photography art week to begin soon
Mount Tai, one of the five most famous mountains in China, occupies a special place in the country's long history, and it has been described as a symbol of the enduring Chinese spirit.
The mountain preserves the profound culture and history of ancient China. It was recognized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization as a world natural and cultural heritage in 1987 and became a UNESCO World Geo Park in 2006.
Tai'an, East China's Shandong province, home to Mount Tai, will host its first ever Taishan International Photography Art Week from Nov 1 to 10 to promote the majestic mountain.
The art week, jointly held by the China Photographers Association, the Shandong Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and the Tai'an municipal government, will consist of a series of photography exhibitions.
