Five projects to settle in Daiyue district
Daiyue district of Tai'an, Shandong province recently held a promotion conference in Beijing, during which five projects were signed, with an intended investment of 5.5 billion yuan ($780 million).
The projects involve the new generation of information technology, new materials, cultural tourism and other industries. With vast investment, high scientific and technological content, and strong industrial competitiveness, the projects will help to promote the district's economic development and industrial adjustment.
In recent years, Daiyue district has rolled out a slew of policies to attract talents and investment in a bid to promote the transformation of old and new growth drivers and advance high-quality development.
It has issued guidelines to cultivate leading industrial enterprises and high-tech innovative enterprises, and adopted policies and measures to support high-quality development of the private economy.
Local government has set up a 1-billion-yuan equity investment fund and a 10-million-yuan industrial development fund to support the construction of key projects and development of high-tech enterprises.
A total of 30 enterprises have been established in the district by the world's top 500 and domestic top 500 companies.
With the constant introduction of big projects, great changes have taken place in Daiyue district. In recent years, the growth rate of major economic indicators, such as GDP, general public budget revenue, added value of industrial enterprises above designated size and fixed asset investment of Daiyue district has ranked first in Tai'an.
According to Daiyue district government, it will continue to improve the business environment, deepen reform to streamline administration and improve supporting infrastructure to attract more investors to invest and start businesses in the district.
