On Nov 11th, "Snowy Plateau—The 55th Stop of Wei Guoyin Oil Painting Tour at Shanxi University" opened at the Art College, which was organized by the Shanxi Artists Association and the Oil Painting Art Commission of Shanxi Artists Association. Huang Xianmin, vice chairman of Shanxi Tourism Society, Bao Shanbing, vice secretary of the CPC Party Committee of Shanxi University, and some teachers and students from the Propaganda Department of the University Party Committee, Postgraduate Affairs Department, Youth League Committee and Art College attended the opening ceremony.

The exhibition, which presents 40 paintings meticulously created by Wei Guoyin, will last until Nov 16th. The paintings, involving many skills and displaying majestic views, will surely impress the viewers, especially the artist's perseverance showed in the creations.

Wei Guoyin is a member of the Creation Center of China Artists Association, and the honorary chairman of the Oil Painting Committee of Hong Kong International Art Academy. After living on the snowy plateau for a long time to experience the life there, he has created numerous oil paintings reflecting Tibetan life.
