The fifth Shanxi Special Agricultural Products Trade Expo was held in Taiyuan, North China's Shanxi province, from Sept 16 to 20.
A total of 1,300 enterprises took part in the expo, displaying over 6,700 varieties of products including cereals, fruits, vegetables, animal by-products and traditional Chinese medicines.
A total of 223 agreements were signed, attracting total investment of 96.55 billion yuan ($14.67 billion) and involving sales of 87.12 billion yuan.
A total of 884 agreements for special agricultural products were signed with contracted sales of 13.59 billion yuan.
The expo also attracted foreign representatives from the United States, Kazakhstan, Korea, New Zealand, Russia, Mexico, and the Netherlands.
So far, the Shanxi Provincial Committee of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade has set up 10 representative offices in countries along the Belt and Road, and aims to set up representative offices in every country along the Belt and Road to promote Shanxi agricultural products.
