A big data industry promotion meeting will be held in Lyuliang on Aug 21 to help upgrade local traditional industries and stimulate emerging industries, according to a press conference on Aug 14.
The promotion meeting will consist of promotion activities, speeches by experts, signing ceremonies, and business matchmaking events.
"Lyuliang has a complete set of infrastructure, a big data industrial park and a Tianhe-2 supercomputer, one of the world's fastest supercomputers, setting a good foundation for developing the big data industry in the city," said Wang Zikang, director of Lyuliang commission of economy and information technology.
Many big data companies like Huawei Technologies have thus invested in Lyuliang in recent years.
The city has set up a special official group and designed a plan for advancing the development of the big data industry from 2017 to 2020.
The local government has also provided better services for big data projects in the city and enacted 28 preferential policies in various aspects, such as power supply and data sharing.
