Being a Taiyuan-born entrepreneur engaged in retail and e-commerce, as well as a deputy to the Shanxi provincial People's Congress on Jan 15, Chu Dequn pays close attention to the sharing economy based on the internet and entrepreneurship in Shanxi.

"With experience in the retail business dating back 20 years, I have seen that e-commerce has outgrown traditional marketing patterns as the influence of the internet continues to expands," said Chu, chairman of Meet All Supermarket Co, speaking to reporters from Xinhua News Agency during the congress.

"The sharing economy, namely economic and social activity involving online transactions, can maximize the interests of all individuals and groups involved in business," he added.

Adjusting himself to the era of the internet, Chu established an e-commerce company named Quanqiuwa, which combines traditional retailing with the internet, in 2015. The manufacturer-to-customer e-commerce platform allows consumers to buy quality products at lower prices.

Meanwhile, Chu Dequn also encourages entrepreneurship in the province by helping local young entrepreneurs start their own businesses on the online platform hosted by Quanqiuwa.

In his opinion, innovation and entrepreneurship in the era of the internet should rely on the IT industry, the sharing of resources and cooperation.
