Yuncheng in Shanxi province is famous for its fruit production and ranks top at city-level throughout China for fruit output. The city is able to grow a wide variety of sweet and juicy fruit, especially apples, due to the varying range of temperatures and ample sunshine it experiences over the course of a year. Agreements on 16 fruit trade projects worth 270 million yuan ($38.86 million) are signed during the fruit promotion event in shanghai on Dec 23.
