Startup mentors, experts and enterprisers shared their wealth of experiences with 100 youth startups at a training camp in Taiyuan from Oct 17 to 18.
The camp aimed to improve the competitiveness of the ventures and broaden their business horizon through delivering lectures, seminars and discussions.
"I believe that the trainees will inject new drive into the economy of Shanxi province," said Ma Huijian, one of organizers of the camp. He hoped that startups will succeed with ambition, honesty and perseverance.
Veteran entrepreneurs offered their professionalism in subjects such as marketing, innovation, financial matters and resources sharing to spur attendees on to persevering with their businesses.
"The instructions of mentors will help me avoid many mistakes in the venture. I’m very grateful for their guidance," said Zhang Zhenyu, chairman of the newly founded Kaka Technology and Trade Co.
Like Zhang, directors of other 29 companies listed on the Shanxi Youth Growth and Enterprises Market exchanged their experiences during the event.
Prize winners of the third Shanxi Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition and outstanding young startups from different cities in Shanxi participated in the camp.
Shanxi will organize more activities to encourage youth innovation and entrepreneurship in the coming years, with the aim of transforming its economy.
