China’s first pilot cities for industrial green transformation will explore a linkage mechanism by integrating their capital, technology, planning and training resources.
The pilot cities, including Baotou in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, Shuozhou of Shanxi province and Zhangjiakou in Hebei province, approved the piloting plan last June.
Led by the Ministry of Industry and Technology Information’s leading, together with the supports from the provincial industry and technology information authorities, Chinese Academy of Engineering and the Energy Research Institute of National Development and Reform Commission, the 11 cities will develop a linkage mechanism to strengthen coordination, communication and exchange.
According to their plan, they will reach breakthroughs in energy efficiency, pollution and industrial restructuring within three years, with an aim tha their experience in green transformation could be promoted in a wider area.
