Ten cities from North China’s Shanxi province were included in the top 200 list of most competitive cities for business, according to a report released by Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in June.
Three of them were listed among the top 100. Taiyuan, Datong and Changzhi were ranked 30th, 65th and 76th places respectively. The other seven were ranked in the second half.
More than a dozen indicators were accounted for in the list, including enterprises’ growth, patent numbers and transportation facilities. All the indictors are standards to judge a city’s competitiveness to develop business. Moreover, the report also claimed that a city’s business competitiveness relies on the markets, and the preferential government policies are just supports.
