The Taiyuan National High-tech Industrial Development Zone in Shanxi is working full blast to develop an industrial restructuring road to highlight Shanxi.
The zone has carried out measures to support the innovative cultural industry. A national demonstration base of culture industry and a national demonstration base of the integrated development of culture and technology were constructed in the zone.
Moreover, policy supports, subsidies and rewards, with a total of 120 million yuan ($19.37 million), were granted to innovative enterprises.
To date, Taiyuan high-tech zone is home to over 200 cultural enterprises accounting for 70 percent of the province's total. Ninety percent of the province's animation and games enterprises, are based in the zone; nine of them were listed as national animation enterprises.
The preferential policies in the zone, as well as diversified measures to promote cultural innovation, have attracted more and more people to start their careers here. It is growing into a cluster of creative talent and projects.
"Shanxi has long history and boasts profound culture. It's promising to facilitate culture with science and technology," said a general manager of a creative enterprise in the zone.
