As statistics from the Shanxi provincial government's official website showed, Shanxi had 27 registered package export enterprises and a total of 200,000 mu (13,333 hectares) of registered export fruit plants, as of the end of October. The exported volume of fresh fruits amounted to 150,000 tons, a value of $ 300 million. These fruits were exported to 24 countries and regions, among which the volume to Russia and Southeast Asia accounted to 60 percent of the total.
