Nearly a million people have visited Disney's first theme park in the Chinese mainland since it opened to the public on June 16, AFP reported.
The entrance fees to the Shanghai Disney Resort are 499 yuan ($76) during holidays and weekends and 370 yuan during other times.
Visitors are staying longer than expected. Chinese barbecued pork with rice, cheeseburgers and turkey legs are popular, Robert Iger, Disney chief executive, said at a conference in Aspen, Colorado.
Initially, he thought it was a mistake to introduce turkey legs to China. But now they sell 3,000 a day, each costing more than $8.
Located at the Pudong New District of China's commercial and financial hub, the park covers an area of over 3.9 square kilometers.
As Disney's sixth resort destination worldwide, it integrates local elements to tailor attractions for the Chinese visitors and left out some American trademark features, such as Main Street USA.
With an investment of $5.5 billion, the Shanghai resort is one of the biggest foreign investments ever in China.
Iger said the park is the most technologically advanced ever constructed by Disney.
