The 34th Annual Bird-Loving Week was held in the Denglong Square in Jiading district from March 8 to 15, promoting wildlife and ecological protection among the public.
Jiading Wildlife Protection Bureau handed out more than 600 materials and 2,000 pens centering on wildlife to better publicize the idea among the public.
The bureau also made 12 boards showing 87 species of birds resting in Liudao wildlife habitat as well as the beautiful scenery of the habitat in the northern part of Jiading.
Jiading has been making continuous efforts to build habitats for endangered birds and other wild animals. The Liudao wildlife habitat occupies about 67 hectares and is home to nearly 100 species of wild animals, including six kinds of second-class national protected animals and eight kinds of Shanghai protected animals.
