Agreements worth $76.8 m inked at intl wine expo

The 11th Yantai International Wine Exposition drew to a close at the Yantai International Exposition Center on Oct 15.
Nearly 400 wine producers, wineries and distributors from 17 countries and regions such as New Zealand and Italy as well as more than 10 provinces and autonomous regions in China attended.
This year's expo covered nearly 20,000 square meters offering 1,014 exhibition booths, including 408 from overseas companies. In the end, a total of 530 million yuan ($76.8 m) agreements were signed during the three-day expo.
The event also organized wine development forums and international high-end summits for renowned experts across the world to share ideas on the development of the wine industry.
A series of activities including a sommelier invitational forum, food carnival and some wine tasting activities were on offer for visitors, giving them a chance to sample wines from all over the world.
