Several photographers and Peking Opera actors recently gathered at the Zhaowangzhuang town of Laiyang city, Yantai, Shandong province to capture the amazing scenes when classic opera meets pear blossoms to complete the photographic campaign Ode to Pear Blossoms.

The county-level city of Laiyang in Yantai has been dubbed the hometown of pears for the quality of its juicy fruit.

When spring approaches, the hometown of pears will be blanketed by white pear blossoms.

Since 1991, Laiyang has hosted the Pear Blossoms Festival to celebrate the dreamlike white world. Visitors also have the chance to see a 420 year old pear tree.
