Laishan district

Laishan district, set up in 1994, includes an area of 279.62 square kilometers and a population of 285,000.

It has become a center for high technologies and is committed to developing industries of nuclear power equipment production, advanced equipment manufacturing, biopharmaceuticals and food processing.

In 2012, the district's total output value was 20 billion yuan ($3.26 billion) and received fiscal revenue of 2.02 billion yuan.
