The Laoshan district of Qingdao city in Shandong province held the 2015 Laoshan Intangible Cultural Heritage Festival at the district's Century Square on Feb 25, the Chinese-language Qingdao Daily reported on Feb 26.

There were 16 local troupes including 700 people performing their folk arts skills with various activities, such as yangko (a rural folk dance) competition, gong and drum performances, dragon dance and lion dance.

A paper cutting contest and riddle guessing game will also be held at the Laoshan Art Museum on March 4. The paper cutting contest will vote for three best pieces from the hundreds of works created by local artisans.
