Jinan will spend about 468.9 billion yuan ($73.57 billion) on 279 projects to beef up its urban construction.

According to the local government, these projects focus on six aspects with 88 on the city's infrastructure, 94 on improving people's living quality, 17 for the 10th China Art Festival scheduled to open next year, 10 on updating the city's image as a City of Springs, 17 on improving the environment and 53 for the real estate development.

With these projects, the city hopes to elevate its overall strength and update its urban profile.
