Qingdao promoting environmental protection

The Qingdao Environmental Protection Bureau signed a cooperation agreement with SINOBE Biological Energy Technology Co, on Dec 17, in a bid to help Qingdao build pilot city of organic waste recycling.

With a total investment of nearly 2 billion yuan ($322 million), the city's environmental protection bureau, will utilize SINOBE's advantages in technology to make full use of the organic wastes in different regions.

SINOBE, headquartered in Zhongguancun Science Park in Beijing, engages in cyclic utilization of organic waste and methane production and application. It has two pilot projects in organic waste recycling in Laixi and Jimo, on the outskirts of Qingdao.
