During the four-day May Day holiday, Lijiang, Southwest China's Yunnan province received a total of 605,000 visitors, a year-on-year increase of 87.67 percent, and achieved tourism income of 719 million yuan ($106 million), a year-on-year increase of 78.1 percent.
In addition to traditional scenic spots such as the Old Town of Lijiang, Yulong Snow Mountain, and Lugu Lake, other new tourism products and formats were also favored by tourists this year, including rural tourism, leisure blocks, and characteristic towns.

Lijiang also organized a series of tourism activities to attract tourists, such as drama shows, the first Huaping Tourism Culture Festival, and a Lijiang Zimei Lake hiking activity.
In order to better serve tourists, nearly 500 volunteers provided consultation and guidance services for tourists in various scenic spots.
