Dongba paintings and calligraphy exhibited in South Korea

The Dongba Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition was held in Cheongju, the largest city in North Chungcheong Province, South Korea from April 11 to 16.

Due to its popular response, it will continue to be exhibited throughout South Korea until July.

The exhibition includes the works of famous Dongba painters and calligraphers Zhao Youheng and He Pinzheng of the Naxi ethnic group, as well as more than 70 other works.

Based on Lijiang's beautiful mountains and lakes, the works mainly reflects Naxi customs. The modern Dongba paintings of the Naxi ethnic group have been exhibited in South Korea as early as 10 years ago, and have been highly valued by the World Association of Characters and Calligraphy.

It has deepened South Korean people's understanding of the world cultural heritage and Dongba culture, building a bridge for culture exchanges between China and South Korea.
