Lijiang Intl Marathon gets ready

It was announced at the March 31 official press conference of the 2018 Lijiang International Marathon in Lijiang that the race is scheduled for June 24.

Registration for the event was officially opened at 8:00 am on April 2 through its official website at www.ljmarathon.cn and the official WeChat public account number Alima.

The competition will include a full marathon of 42.2 kilometers, a half marathon of 21.1 kilometers and 4.5-kilometer happy run to satisfy all runners at different physical fitness levels.

Compared with last year's marathon, the coming race will be fully upgraded in terms of event specifications, images, ideas, services, and guarantees, which will provide runners with a warmer and more professional welcome.

Zhao Lidi, vice mayor of Lijiang, said that the event will integrate sports with culture, tourism, science and technology, as well as health and public welfare, combining multiple dimensions to show the city's unique characteristics.

Zhao added that the event will promote local sports consumption and create a new business card of Lijiang, displaying the city's economic and social development achievements and urban construction.

At the press conference, Phicomn Sports and the China Athletics Association jointly presented marathon special awards to athletes and their coaches who had achieved outstanding results in the trials of the 2018 Jakarta Asian Games in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the country.
