Lijiang backs up innovation and entrepreneurship

The people's government of Lijiang recently reached agreements with Snow Mountain Venture (Lijiang) Company Management Co Ltd, Yunnan Tus Incubator Industry Co Ltd and Zhongguancun Digital Cultural Industry Alliance on innovative and entrepreneurial projects, xinhuanet.com reported on March 11.

The three projects are the Lijiang Snow Mountain Venture Camp Project, the Lijiang Tus Kzhan Maker Space Project and the construction of Zhongguancun-Lijiang Scientific and Entrepreneurial Park.

Cui Maohu, chief of the Lijiang municipal committee of the CPC, said that Lijiang's government is making great efforts to solve problems in local markets and to create a first-class business environment in order to attract more companies and more entrepreneurial projects to settle in Lijiang.

Companies involved will formulate detailed project schedules and introduce more projects, funds, and talents to supports Lijiang's development of innovation and entrepreneurship.

Cui Maohu said, "Since 2017 Lijiang has issued a series of preferential policies, such as '15 Measures for Innovation and Entrepreneurship' and 'Opinions on Implementing Private Funding', that will surely give more impetus to local entrepreneurship and innovation."

Lijiang is trying to build itself a national-level high-tech park and will implement an innovation-driven strategy to make innovation a powerful engine for its economic development.

Lijiang will also provide innovation-oriented companies with more guarantees on policies, services and talent supports, and build Lijiang into a highland for innovation and entrepreneurship.

In terms of nurturing basic talents, Lijiang is actively providing good talent support for enterprise development. In 2017, Lijiang issued the "Lijiang Talents Plan" and supporting measures. Currently, the West Yunnan University of Applied Sciences is promoting the construction of the International Hotel Management School and Vocational Education Park and is expected to begin enrollment this year.
