A total of 134 objects are displayed, divided into three parts—Chinese modern painter Zhou Lin's 54 works, 65 works of ancient and modern celebrities and 15 contemporary oil paintings.

These works depict Lijiang's people and landscapes, such as towering mountains, gurgling snow water and industrious people, vividly showing the customs of Lijiang.

He Pinzheng, former researcher of Lijiang Dongba Research Institute, said, "Mr Zhou Lin's works primarily talk about the construction of new China and the hard work of working people, such as the delivery of postmen, delivery of grain, water conservancy and female birth attendants."

He Lihua, vice county head of Yulong said, "The exhibition is held not merely to provide an exchange stage for painting and calligraphy lovers but also to inspire local people to carry forward their ethnic traditional culture."

She added that the event played an important role in promoting the ethnic cultural resources and the development of cultural tourism industry, as well as the steady and rapid economic and social development of Yulong.
