The Aman Resorts at Dayan officially opened in Lijiang, Southwest China's Yunnan province, on February 18.

The resort is built around mountains with 35 spacious suites with terraces. Guests can look out the window to see Yulong Snow Mountain and Tiger Leaping Gorge.

Like other Aman resorts, the Aman Resort at Dayan is unique and integrated with local Lijiang characteristics, such as the ethnic Naxi architecture style.

Olivier Jolivet, chief executive officer of Aman Resorts, said,"The Aman Resort at Dayan follows the tradition of Aman, selecting the unique location of Lijiang and equipped with outstanding facilities, exceptional service and a small number of rooms to ensure exclusivity and privacy."

Harmony between humans and nature is essential for Aman. The Pinus yunnanensis of Shangri-la, the Naxi embroidery and Dongba wood carvings are selected as the materials of the Aman Resort at Dayan's furnishing and texture.

Wenchang Palace built in 1725 is surrounded by the buildings of the Aman Resort at Dayan, creating the feeling that it has become a part of the resort.

Besides the architecture, culture and history, Aman at Dayan boasts top dining and service facilities.

The restaurant in the lobby is open 24/7, offering Western and Asian cuisine made by organic materials, as well as pastries and cocktails.

The resort is also equipped with spa services, a 20-meter outdoor swimming pool, gym facilities, a library and a movie theatre.

Guests can find a full collection of books on ethnic Naxi culture and geography in the library.
