Lijiang and Shanghai Fengjing become friendship towns

Lijiang Ancient Town of Yunnan province has recently established a friendship town relationship with Shanghai Fengjing Ancient Town.

Zhao Yun, head of Shanghai Fengjing Ancient Town, said, "The establishment of the friendship town relationship can promote communication, research, exchange and cooperation between the two ancient towns. We will regularly send artists and experts to Lijiang Ancient Town for research and cultural exchange."

He Hongyang, deputy director of the Lijiang Ancient Town protection bureau, said, "In early 2014, we cooperated with Shanghai Fengjing to hold art work exhibitions, winning wide praise. I believe that the move of establishing friendship towns will surely promote cooperation at a higher level."
