Lijiang delegation sees good score in Yunnan Ethnic Games

The Lijiang delegation has won five gold medals, 10 silver medals and 11 bronze medals in the 10th Yunnan Ethnic Games. The games opened in Shangri-La from Sept 12 to Sept 21, with 18 delegations taking part and representing cities and autonomous prefectures, Lijiang Daily reported.

The Lijiang delegation altogether attended nine competitions and three sports performances including Chinese martial arts, wrestling and ethnic aerobics with support from Lijiang official departments.

In the Yunnan Ethnic Games, Lijiang’s performance was better than former years. Lijiang ranks seventh in the medal table among the 18 delegations. The organizing committee granted the Lijiang delegation the Outstanding Organization Award.

This year, Lijiang renewed its own record of medals, contestants and competition participation. The Lijiang delegation has won great honor for Lijiang city in the games.
