Train tickets for some tourism routes in Yunnan for the week-long National Day holiday are in hot demand, Chuncheng Evening News reported.

According to the sales status of the China Railway Customer Service Center website (www.12306.cn), almost all tickets for seats from Kunming to Lijiang on Oct 1 are sold out. The train tickets from Kunming to Qujing, Chuxiong and Mengzi are relatively abundant.

The official website of the Ministry of Transport indicates that the National Day holiday is a peak time for travel, leisure and family visits. According to the Central People’s Government, the toll-free ride policy will apply to the National Day holiday. The policy will start from 12:00 am Oct 1 to 11:59 pm Oct 7.
