Huayan Cultural Festival opens in Lijiang

The 2013 Zhejiang International Huayan Culture Festival was held in Longquan district, Lishui city, Zhejiang province, from Nov 30 to Dec 2.

Master Guangquan, vice-chairman of the Zhejiang Provincial Buddhist Association, hosted the opening ceremony. The original Buddhist drama Action and Vow premiered at the ceremony.

The festival created positive energy by promoting good deeds and kindness. Eminent monks from 29 countries and regions joined in the event.

The festival was sponsored by the Zhejiang Provincial Buddhist Association and was organized by the Lishui Municipal Buddhist Association and Chongren Temple of Longquan city.
