Lijiang to hold book donation fundraising event

The Tianyu Music Festival, which will include a book donation fundraising activity, will be held in Lijiang, in Southwest China's Yunnan province, from Oct 2 to 4, China Youth Daily reported.

The festival will feature rock'n'roll, folk and pop, and stars from Hong Kong, Taiwan and overseas, as well as domestic bands and artists are scheduled to take part.

The book donation activity is expected to allow fundraisers to donate over 200,000 books to schools in impoverished mountainous areas of Yunnan by the beginning of next year.
