Lijiang holds its first Yunnan air travel market promotion

The first Yunnan air travel market promotion, which aimed to intensify communication between airlines and travel agencies in Yunnan province and other parts of China, was held in Lijiang on Aug 28, lijiang.cn reported.

Jihong Longjia, executive vice mayor of Lijiang city, Zhou Kai, president of Yunnan Airport Group Co Ltd and officials of the Yunnan Provincial Tourism Development Committee, attended the event, along with representatives of 39 domestic and foreign airlines, 55 domestic travel agencies and 12 airports in Yunnan.

Jihong said that Lijiang's distinctive tourism resources mean that it has a broad aviation tourist market, and he also said he hopes this initiative would push forward the tourism development of Lijiang, and assist the aviation industry.

Yunnan Airport Group Co Ltd operates 315 air routes: 269 domestic routes, 39 international routes and 7 regional routes.

From January to July, the airport group's passenger throughput reached 22.63 million; cargo throughput was 169,600 tons, marking a year-on-year increase of 27.1 percent and 8.1 percent respectively.
