The Public Security Bureau's Exit-Entry Administration in the city of Shenyang has announced a new approach to foreign business people working in the city by giving them easier access to visa services through a new office in its economic and technological development zones, providing more services for people living and working there.

These include extending a visa, expiration date reminders, issuing emergency entry visas, and hotel registration and, in the words of a middle management employee of a US multinational, Andrew, who has been in Shenyang for 5 years, the results have been good because it used to be very inconvenient going to the bureau every year to extend his documents, but the new measures mean he needn't worry about them anymore.

The city started the services this past May and has built four foreign business sites to provide better, more convenient services for foreigners, a move that is expected to benefit 27,000 foreigners working in Shenyang's more than 480 multinationals.
