The 10th Liaoning Taiwan Week began on September 7 in Dandong city, Liaoning province. This year's event is themed "Exchange and cooperation promote win-win situations".

During the event, Dandong demonstrated its economic, social and cultural achievements. Taiwan Week is a good experience for Dandong, as it develops into an international port city.

Dandong enjoys great development opportunities. An area of 192.86 square kilometers along Dandong's river and ocean areas is within Liaoning's key coastal economic zone and another 34.92 square kilometers in the Dagushan economic area has been given development priority.

Dandong has invested almost 200 billion yuan ($31.3 billion) in fixed assets during the 11th Five-Year Plan period, while its port's output exceeded 50 million tons annually. With its convenient transport network system and logistical advantages, Dandong shows great potential among eastern cities in Northeast China.

With more frequent personnel and cultural exchanges, the bilateral economic and trade cooperation between Liaoning and Taiwan is expanding into more varied sectors and levels. Dandong is now supporting Taiwan-funded enterprises to build a better investment environment of low costs, optimized government services and high investor recognition.
