The Jilin Provincial People's Congress opened its annual session on Monday, Jan 26, in the capital, Changchun.

Jiang Chaoliang, the provincial governor, addressed the gathering and gave a government report on work in the past year and also a work plan for the coming year to the 449 assembled deputies.

Jilin's Party secretary, Bayinchaolu, hosted the meeting.
