Nanchang, the capital city of Jiangxi province, has been striving to turn itself into an agricultural powerhouse by establishing distinctive agricultural parks and designing five to seven agricultural tourist attractions.

Nanchang will build production bases for rice, coal and sesame; bases for river crabs and organic tea as landmarks; food supply bases with fine-breed pigs and vegetables; and bases for aquatic products, nursery stock and flowers. State-level modern agricultural demonstration areas, such as Huangma, Jiangxiang and Xixia, will be established as key projects in Nanchang.
