Jiyang Lake in Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu province, was recently approved by the Jiangsu Provincial Forestry Bureau as a provincial wetland park, the first of its kind in Zhangjiagang.

Jiyang Lake wetland park covers an area of 175.57 hectares, including a wetland area of 108.07 hectares. The application work started in 2014 and the Nanjing Forestry University was invited to draw out a master plan for Jiyang Lake wetland park. Based on the plan, the park aims to become the largest wetland scenic area in Zhangjiagang with an excellent ecological environment.
