A giant 4-meter-high book tower made up of 19,236 books set a Guinness World Record in Suzhou of Jiangsu province on November 10.

The tower is a part of a series of reading events at Suzhou Industrial Park. Designers from different places created the plan for the pyramid-shaped tower. All the books were donated by Suzhou residents, and the tower was set up entirely of books.

After the event, the organizer will hold reading events, lectures, reading communications and book recommendations to give more people a chance to read books.
