Creative-minded individuals are being called upon to come up with a new design for Wuxi Sunan International Airport's new logo and mascot, according to an announcement on June 17.
The organizers have asked that entries for the logo embody the airport's enterprising culture and that the mascot expresses the features of Wuxi, Suzhou, and Jiangnan.
Entries need to be submitted to the airport's official WeChat account (wxairport) by July 30, with the winners decided by an online poll and announced on Sept 28.
The top award winner will receive a prize of 10,000 yuan ($1,521) and three round-trip air tickets from Wuxi to Hong Kong, courtesy of HK Express, who launched a route from the airport last year.
Wuxi airport, started commercial flights in 2004, and now has 48 routes opened to 41 cities. Last year, its passenger numbers hit 4.61 million people and cargo throughput rose to 89,000 tons.
