Israeli consul-general in Shanghai Arnon Perlman exchanged ideas with Wuxi Mayor Wang Quan about economic cooperation and science culture and education in Wuxi on Nov 30, according to the Wuxi government.
Wuxi and Israel's frequent exchanges have borne fruit in trade, culture and agriculture, Wang said, adding that Wuxi is striving to build a new highland of modern industries and promote innovation-driven development as a move to tap new sources of economic growth.
Israel, an innovation-oriented country, sets a good example for Wuxi. Wang hoped more of Israel's high-tech enterprises and research institutes would expand to Wuxi.
Perlman said Wuxi is a dynamic city with sound business circumstances. He said he will encourage companies of both sides to collaborate extensively and invited Wuxi businesses to look into investment in Israel.
