German coaches to improve campus soccer in Baotou

Nine primary and middle schools in Baotou, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, recently welcomed four German soccer coaches, as part of a plan to take campus soccer to a new level, according to Baotou Daily.

The four coaches, all of whom are youth coaches from Bayer 04 Leverkusen, watched the training given to students by the school coaches, analyzed their training modes and gave instructions to the students.

Bayer 04 Leverkusen, also known as Bayer Leverkusen, is a German football club based in Leverkusen, North Rhine-Westphalia. The club plays in the top tier of the German football leagues, and hosts matches at the Bay Arena.

With more emphasis placed on improving campus soccer, Inner Mongolia autonomous region now boasts 1,650 schools offering soccer lessons and training sessions. The autonomous region was selected as the first provincial and autonomous region-level pilot area for the promotion of soccer.
